Welcome to Pack 19

We are a local Cub Scout pack whose membership has grown fast and we are welcoming you too. Come and see what scouting is all about! Your son will have a blast with the ability to participate in the vast projects and activities we plan throughout the year.

Our meetings are on Thursdays at 6:30-7:30pm, at the First Baptist Church of Nashua located at 121 Manchester St, Nashua, NH 03064.

We accept boys from 5-10 years of age (Kindergarten/1st through 5th grade). If you're a new or prospective scouter, come join us for the evening and see why we believe Pack 19 is the best there is!

If you have any questions for us feel free to email join@nashuapack19.org and we will be happy to reply! Thank you.

Weekly update 03/20/23

Posted on Mar 20 2023 - 9:41am

Hello Pack 19!

I hope everyone had a great meeting last week. My apologies, but I will not be in attendance this coming Thursday, as well, due to a schedule conflict. Kathleen will be in attendance, though, and I will arrange for Someone to run the meeting. After this week, I will be back to business as usual!

Upcoming Events:

Committee Meeting
The next committee meeting is April 4th at 7 PM. Please consider attending and being part of planning the remainder of the scouting year and the summer.

Pack Meeting
Our next Pack Meeting is April 20th. This will be a pot luck and awards will be given out. I will be sending out den food assignments in the weeks leading up to it. Leaders, please start working on submitting your awards to Carla so she can be ready to get them.

April School Vacation
There will be no Den meetings the week of April 23rd.

New York Trip
April 28th is quickly sneaking towards us! Please make sure to settle up with Kathleen and Carla for any remaining balances, and get your Med Forms in to Joanne. Per her recent email, because this outing is less than 72 hours in duration, only Part A and Part B are needed.

End Of Year BBQ
We are booked for June 10 at Camp Whip O Whill in Merrimack NH. This is our end of year celebration, where we'll have fun games and events, camp fires, skits, food, and all scouts will receive their ranks and advance to the next! Scout families are also welcome to bring tents and camp out for the night, as well!

We'll be looking for volunteers to possibly help prep the site before our event, and help run activities on the day of.

Summer Camp
We are now booked for the week of July 23rd. Camp is Sunday-Thursday, and AOLs have an extra day on Friday.  Anyone planning to go to Camp, please make sure you register with Casey Cheshire as soon as possible.  Registration requires a $100 deposit, and if you get that in before April 1st, you automatically get a discounted price on camp.

Camp Card sales are in full swing. Camp is not inexpensive, so if you're interested in going, please consider signing up for some shifts to sell the cards. There are plenty of shifts left, and plenty of cards to sell.  We want to do what we can to help reduce the cost for you. We want to make sure that no scout misses out on the opportunity because of cost, so please see any of our leaders if that is a concern. We can talk one on one about any concerns you may have.  Every boy that has gone to camp in the past has absolutely LOVED it (including any that may have had some trepidation in the beginning). Parents are welcome to attend camp as well. It's TOTALLY worth it.

Med Form Part C will be needed for Camp (this is the one that needs to be completed by a  doctor, so please make sure you have physicals scheduled for any kids or adults that are planning to go to camp. If your doctor can't fit you in before med forms are due, you can also go to any walk in clinic that offers the option of a "sports physical" and they can complete the form too.

Leaders Needed
A successful Pack does not run itself. We need people to help out where they can. Please let us know if there are any ways you can assist and we're happy to go over any available positions with you!

Weekly Update 03/14/23

Posted on Mar 14 2023 - 10:32am

Hello Pack 19!

Apologies that I missed sending this on Monday. I will get better at this, I swear!

We had an AWESOME Pinewood Derby, Congrats to our top 5 scouts that qualified for the district races. I saw a lot of super awesome cars, and you should all be proud of the finished product of your hard work.

I will have more details coming up regarding the district pinewood derby, as soon as I can.

Upcoming Events:

New York Trip
I know people have been asking, so we finally crunched the numbers. The final cost for the campsite+food breaks down to $30 per family. Please see myself or Carla Gannon to settle up on that. Also any families that are NOT going to the Statue of Liberty Crown will need to see Kathleen Graham to settle up on their pedestal ticket.

Committee Meeting
Tuesday April 4th 7:00 PM at the Nashua Public LIbrary
All are welcome and encouraged to attend. This next meeting will be a planning meeting for the remainder of the year and summer events, so we'd love to have as much input from our families as we can get!
